C. Nazareth Barbosa
Carlos Nazareth Barbosa nasceu no Cartaxo em 1949. Com 20 anos "escapou" ao serviço militar obrigatório (África) e viveu na Holanda cerca de 2 anos. Posteriormente viveu na Bélgica durante 2 anos onde estudou na Universidade Livre de Bruxelas (ULB) e no Conservatório Nacional de Música em Bruxelas.
Mais tarde, já em Portugal, exerceu a actividade de professor de música durante 10 anos. Especializou-se em Musicoterapia na Universidade de Verão nos arredores de Paris. Durante vários anos trabalhou com crianças deficientes em Portugal.
No inicio dos anos 80 foi equiparado a bolseiro pelo INIC (Instituto Nacional de Investigação Científica) e frequentou a Escola Superior da Educação pela Arte em Lisboa.
Após esse período "descobriu" a sua vocação para a escultura e optou por dedicar o resto da sua vida a essa actividade. Após várias exibições e trabalhos realizados, o artista considera que a sua "obra prima" foram as suas quatro filhas.

Carlos Nazareth Barbosa est né en 1949 à Cartaxo (Portugal. A l'âge de 20 ans il a fuit le Portugal pour ne pas faire son service militaire obligatoire à cause de la guérre en Afrique. Il a trouvé du travail au Pays Bas et y est resté pendant 2 ans. Il est ensuite parti pour la Belgique où il a etudié 2 ans à l' Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) et au Conservatoire de Musique de Bruxelles. Carlos Nazareth Barbosa est rentré au Portugal et a exercé le métier de professeur de musique pendant 10 ans. A l' université d' été en banlieue parisienne il a fait une spécialisation en musicothérapie et pendant plusieurs années il a developpé un travail avec des enfants handicapés au Portugal. Au commencement des années 80 il a reçu une bourse de l' Institut National d' Investigation Sientifique et a etudié à l'école Supérieure d' Education de l' Art à Lisbonne. Après plusieurs expositions et travaux divers, l'artiste considère que ses plus belles créations sont ses quatre filles.

Later on he lived in Belgium for 2 years and he studied in Brussels Free University (ULB) and in National Conservatory of Music in Brussels, too.
Later on, in Portugal again, he exerciced music teacher's activity during 10 years, He has made an especialization in Musicterapy in Summer University around Paris. For several years he worked with deficient children in Portugal.
In the begining of 80's he was received a scholarship by the INIC (National Institut of Scientific Investigation) and he studied at the Superior School of Education by Art in Lisbon. After this he discovered his intuition to sculpture and decide to spend his life in this activity.
After several exhibitions and accomplished works, the artist considers that his "work excels" were their four daughters.
